Baseball season is finally here. When I think of baseball, I imagine balmy spring and summer evenings spent listening to the sound of the crowd in the stands softly talking to each other while watching their children play the game.
Or listening to the sound of crickets chirping while the pitcher winds up on the mound and then swoosh! - the ball lands in the catcher's mitt. Or even better yet, the hard, loud sound the bat makes when it hits the ball. I absolutely love the times when the crowd will stand and cheer for the batter who has really smacked that ball and you know it's a double or maybe even a home run! Wow - the excitement as the batter runs the bases! I sure remember those days fondly when my youngest son played this great game in high school.
